A Message from the Clerk’s office:

Welcome to the Clerk’s Page for the Town of Hillrose Website.  Barbara and I are glad you stopped by.  We are here to serve the citizens of Hillrose in our various roles and capacities and both care deeply for our community.  We are available to answer your questions, note your concerns or complaints and assist you in any way that we can.

I was appointed to the position of Town Clerk and Treasurer on December 1, 1997 with the effective date of January 1, 1998 after serving as a trustee since June 16, 1986.  Barbara was appointed On October 2, 2006.

My clerk duties are defined first by the Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS §31-4-305) of which my primary duty is to make a true and accurate record of all the proceedings, rules, and ordinances made and passed by the board of trustees and all other records of the town.  As Treasurer I shall receive all money belonging to the town and shall keep books and accounts separate by funds, prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the yearly audit or exemption from audit.   I am also the Chief Election Officer, the Official Zoning Officer, Budget Officer and the Municipal Court Clerk and oversee the Deputy Clerk and Code Enforcement Officer.

The Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning Regulations go hand-in-hand.  To help citizens better understand the Zoning Regulations, it is recommended that the Comprehensive Plan be read and understood first.  (Note:  due to Vulnerability Assessments, the maps are no longer available in the online version of the Comprehensive Plan.)
