The Regular Meeting of the Town of Hillrose Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Riedl at 7:00 p.m.  Trustees answering roll call were Colerick, Smith and Wahlert.  Kramer absent.  Staff members present were Golemboski and Nichols.  Visitors present were Morgan Co. Sheriff Sergeant Rob Evans.  The Mayor led the pledge of allegiance.

Public Comments:  None

The minutes from the January 17, 2011 meeting were presented and Colerick asked for a clarification word to be added to the Certified Operators report, second line now reads “He met with her representative and submitted a verbal report to her …” After the addition, Wahlert moved with Colerick seconding to approve the minutes as amended.  Approved by unanimous voice vote 4-0.

The following reports were submitted to the Board:
Certified Operator, Dale Colerick:  attached; He changed brushes in the 24 hr solar bee and it works in daylight but not at night – he will investigate it further.
Clerk/Administrator, Lynn Golemboski:  attached
Deputy Clerk, Barbara Nichols:  attached
Maintenance, Ed Wahlert:  Completed some street grading on a nice day; Met with tenants at 17 Prewitt and Fred Abbott (maintenance for HMHP) regarding their water meter to find again that when the water was shut off at the valve under the mobile home the meter didn’t move.  Ms. Carney was concerned that it was a break in the line between the meter and the mobile home.  Clearly it was not.
Sheriff’s Report, Sergeant Rob Evans:  Another road officer finishing his training the 1st week in March and they should be up to full strength soon.

Old Business:
Smith and Golemboski reported on the City/County Meeting held on January 26, 2011 at Wiggins.  A representative of the Ambulance Service gave a presentation.  The next meeting will be at Brush in May.  

Wahlert reported on the Lower Platte & Beaver Annual Meeting and the Riverside Reservoir Annual Meeting he attended and submitted the handout reports from those meetings.

New Business:
The list of bills for February 7, 2011 were presented.  Colerick moved with Smith seconding to pay the bills in the usual manner.  Roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes, motion carried 4-0.

The Board reviewed the resignation submitted by Jon Riedl, Code Enforcement Officer and Wahlert moved with Smith seconding to accept the resignation.  A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes, motion carried 4-0.   After discussion on the position, Golemboski will schedule a meeting with Sheriff Crone to discuss options.

Golemboski presented the invitations to Morgan County Economic Development Corp.’s Annual Meeting and the NECALG annual meeting.  No one from the Board was able to attend.

Golemboski presented a request for the free use of Town Property and Equipment for the All School Reunion planned for Sunday, September 11, 2011.  Rozella and Eugene Thoms are requesting the use of the Park, tables, chairs, tent, large water containers and coffee pot for the All Hillrose School Reunion from 11 am to 4 pm.  The Community Center would be used as a backup for weather conditions and elderly people needing shelter.  Colerick moved with Wahlert seconding to approve the request and set up the tent, tables & chairs for the Community Event.  A voice vote was taken with all present voting yes, motion carried 4-0.

Colerick presented a request for the City of Brush to use the generator as a backup power supply for their annual Music Festival on the 19th.  The Board approved that request.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
