The Regular Meeting of the Town of Hillrose Board of
Trustees was called to order by Mayor Riedl at 7:10 p.m. Trustees
answering roll call were Colerick, Kramer, Smith and Wahlert. Staff members
present were Golemboski and Colerick. Visitors present were Morgan County
Sheriff Office Sergeant Rob Evans and FTO Ed Dye. The Mayor led the pledge of
allegiance.
Public Comments: None
The minutes from the July 12, 2010 meeting were presented and
Kramer moved with Smith seconding to approve the minutes as printed. Approved
by unanimous voice vote 5-0.
The following reports were submitted to the Board:
Certified Operator, Dale Colerick: as printed
Code Enforcement, Jon Riedl: as printed
Maintenance, Ed Wahlert & Don Smith: A new culvert has been
installed on the south side of the intersection of Charles & Beaver; replaced
curb stop on yard water at 309 Beaver; repaired Town Hall roof and started
repairs on the Shop roof; picnic tables are completed. Kramer reported that her
husband, Randy, jacked open the culvert on the south side of the intersection of
Clifford & Rose. Colerick reported that he borrowed a spinner nozzle to wash
out culverts from the City of Brush for whenever the culvert cleaning begins.
Riedl reported that she had looked for the town’s nozzle at the fire hall but
was unsure of what she was looking for.
Sheriff’s Report: Evans presented the call report from the
Sheriff Office.
Old Business:
Trustee Colerick presented the website as he has developed it
to date. The Board made suggestions and Colerick will continue his work.
Golemboski will check into securing the web address of townofhillrose.org, .net
and .gov from Network Solutions.
New Business:
The list of bills for August 2, 2010 were presented. Wahlert
moved with Smith seconding to pay the bills in the usual manner. Roll call vote
was taken with all present voting yes, motion carried 5-0.
Golemboski presented the United Energy of Colorado, LLC Fixed Price
Prepay Propane Contract for the upcoming October 2010 thru April 2011
winter heating season. Local area resident Duane Frihauf is the route driver
and the Company is in Keenesburg. The contract is for 1150 gallons at prepay
price of $1.60. This was the same price than CHS (formerly Sterling Oil & Gas
was offering). Wahlert moved with Colerick seconding to sign the contract and
prepay the 1150 gallons. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting
yes, motion carried 5-0.
Golemboski asked the Board who would be attending the dinner meeting for
Local Government Officials Forum A Conversation about Amendments 60 & 61 and
Proposition 101 to be held in Fort Morgan on August 25, 2010.
Colerick, Kramer, Smith and Golemboski will for sure and Riedl and Wahlert to
respond by next meeting.
