The Regular Meeting of the Town of Hillrose Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Riedl at 7:00 p.m.  Trustees answering roll call were Colerick, Stroh and Wahlert, Smith absent due to son’s illness in Oregon.  Staff members present were Golemboski, Colerick and Nichols.  Visitors present were Dave Greenhagen, Jonelle Cooper, Teresa Kramer, Dale Schmer and Mary Lou Cook.  Veryl Eschen and Sgt. Rob Evans entered the meeting a little later.   The Mayor led the pledge of allegiance.

Public Comments:  Dave Greenhagen asked at what time tickets can be issued to people at the park for being there after hours; Teresa Kramer asked when the bathroom would be open and has had problems with kids on the swing sets throwing the chains over to make the swing higher off the ground (Cooper also expressed problems with the swing sets).  A discussion ensued about a heater in the bathroom to leave it open all year round.

Veryl Eschen, Hillrose Rural Fire Protection District President, addressed the Board and guests about the upcoming election for the District where they are asking for a 1 mill levy increase to be used for fire truck and equipment purchases and firefighter pensions.  There are 4 candidates for 2 Board seats, Larry Mills, Howard Schilling, Don Smith and Cecil Krueger.

The minutes from the March 15, 2010 meeting were presented and Colerick moved with Wahlert seconding to approve the minutes as printed.  Approved by unanimous voice vote 4-0.

The following reports were submitted to the Board:
Certified Operator, Dale Colerick:  as printed.  Asked the Clerk to pursue a new AT&T card for the cell phone at the potable water system.  Also Kuntz Well & Pump will be updating the yard water pumping system as soon as the components get in.
Clerk/Administrator, Lynn Golemboski:  Has been busy with the election preparations and the County Treasurer has asked the delinquent bills be sent in at least quarterly to the Treasurer’s office.
Deputy Clerk, Barbara Nichols:  as printed
Code Enforcement, Jon Riedl:  as printed
Maintenance, Ed Wahlert:  Has been spraying weeds already, purple mustard is growing rapidly; delivered toters; discussed with Rick Staley Plumbing servicing the 3 air conditioners for the town hall and post office for $250.  All the board agreed it would be a good thing to do.
Sheriff’s Report:  Evans passed out the confidential Sheriff call report to the Board.  They have 1 guy in training for road patrol and Evans will be going to nights for the next 3 months.  Stroh asked about the music from the bar being so loud and playing until 2 am.

New Business:
The list of bills for April 5, 2010 were presented.  Stroh moved with Wahlert seconding to pay the bills in the usual manner.  Roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes, motion carried 4-0.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:17 p.m.
